Martinborough Fair - where to find us

Martinborough Fair

Martinborough Fair is such a great day out.

Held in the small Wairarapa village, the 500 plus stalls fill the central grass square and surrounding streets.

Scroll down to find a map and photo of where we'll be located.

The Fair is quite a draw card, not least for Wellingtonians, many of whom make an annual pilgrimage over the Remutaka Hill to buy high quality local crafts, indulge in fantastic street food, drink local wine and enjoy the sunny micro-climate.

JB and I have often been customers. This year we will experience the Fair from the perspective of stallholders and we're looking forward to chatting to lots of people about our unique homeware.

My clever husband has been working long hours in the workshop (aka the shed) to craft lots of Edison Lamps and Keep Me Posts. Those that don't sell at the Fair will be posted on the website (once we've recovered!).

I expect to take lots of light shade orders, as well as selling my ready-made shades and table lamps. I love helping you choose what will fit your home - and creating something special for you.

Many regular visitors to the Fair have a system for going round the stalls so they get to see them all. (I speak from experience!) And start arriving for the Fair's opening at 8am and some even before then. It's a serious business!

But if you want to make doubly sure that you can find our Shades at Grays' stall then please have a look at the map and photo below.

We'd love to see you!

The spot where Shades of Grays will be on the central grass square.

The Fair is always held on the 1st Saturday of February and again on the 1st Saturday of March. So we will be in exactly the same spot (but a little wiser) on 6 March 2021.

Of course for those who can't get to the Fair our unique homeware can be ordered online.

Order light shades.
