Lighting That Keeps the Craft Alive

Every Workshop Legacy Lamp begins with a vintage carpenter’s plane — a relic from the days when every cut, curve, and joint was made by hand.

JB transforms these old tools into something enduring: light that honours the past while brightening the present. The mix of beech wood, soft light and history makes each lamp a conversation piece — equal parts nostalgia and modern design.

This plane was manufactured and originally used in Germany. Planes of European heritage were often provided with horn-style front handle which aid a pulling motion rather than pushing.

Celebrate the beauty of craftsmanship — own a piece that carries the spirit of New Zealand’s making heritage.

The plane has been cleaned, lightly sanded to remove years of grime, and hand finished with natural beeswax.

The included vintage-style 4W LED candle bulb is designed to last approximately 1500 hours.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.

Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

Delivery

We have a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington or Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
