🌟 **Our Keep Me Posts: Where Art Meets Function** 🌟

Crafted from recycled wharf timber, this Keep Me Post carries the echoes of Wellington Harbour where it was an intrinsic part of Eastbourne Wharf before its restoration. With roots likely stretching back well over a century, it's more than just wood; it's a living chronicle.

🔗 **A Signature of Rarity**: This door stop is set apart by the signature ironwork - a railway anchor clip far rarer than the typical Pandrol clips found on many of our other Keep Me Posts. It's a nod to its uniqueness and a testament to the artistry that goes into every creation.

At Shades at Grays, we understand that every piece of wood has a story to tell, and every creation is a labour of love. Our Keep Me Posts are not just functional; they are a celebration of history, craftsmanship, and individuality.

Whether you choose to showcase this piece as a work of art or embrace its practical side as a trusty doorstop, you are welcoming a piece of Wellington's past into your space.

  • Material: Jarrah & railway iron
  • Dimensions: H 30 cm, W  10 cm, D 20 cm
  • Weight: 4.5 kg

The timber is Australian Jarrah, a very dense and durable wood that is part of the Eucalyptus family.

Jarrah was imported and used along with other Australian hardwoods in late nineteenth century New Zealand for commercial and industrial construction.

The history of the timber has been retained by leaving any existing bolt holes and surface marks, while exposing and polishing the beautiful end grain.

Both the Jarrah and the old iron have been cleaned, sanded, and hand finished by applying a coating of natural beeswax.

Each Keep Me Post has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.
