This gorgeous wooden table lamp from reclaimed timber will enhance your home with its light and charm.

It is crafted from wharf timber, over 100 years old, and upcycled following restoration work on the Eastbourne wharf in Wellington Harbour. 

It is not only a practical and functional item, but also a beautiful and meaningful one with the wood carrying a rich history, revealed in its swirls and grooves and enhanced by an original nail.

Its story starts in Australia, when a majestic jarrah tree was felled to become part of a consignment destined for New Zealand to be used for commercial and industrial construction.

After serving time on the wharf, it has been lovingly cleaned and sanded, then polished with natural beeswax to enhance the wood's character. A replica edison bulb brings a warm ambiance, while its light reflects in the lamp's smooth top.

  • The dimensions of the lamp base are: length 20 cm, width 12 cm, height (including bulb) 32 cm.
  • Weight: 3.2 kg

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.

We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

Delivery

We have a $7 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington and Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
