Feel the love and care in every detail. This table lamp is handcrafted by JB at Shades at Grays, who has a profound respect for the reclaimed tōtara wood he works with.

By transforming an old fence post into a beautiful light, he not only gives the wood a second life but also celebrates its natural elegance.

The careful polishing brings out the intricate grain, creating a stunning smooth top and side and making this lamp a unique piece of art. 

On this lamp the original barbed wire and staples have been retained (with the barbs carefully sanded down so they are no longer sharp).

The warm light from the included replica Edison bulb creates an inviting glow, perfect for any home that values craftsmanship and heart.

The history of the timber has been retained by leaving any surface marks, while exposing and polishing the beautiful grain with natural bees wax.

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison bulb has a lamp life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are generally freely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

With black fittings, this lamp has a long lead with an in-line switch.

Delivery

We have a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
