Vintage Tōtara Table Lamp

The eroded hole through the centre of this amazing piece of tōtara creates the character of this wood table lamp, crafted out of an original fencepost, more than 100 years old.

It has been lovingly cleaned, sanded and polished to reveal the warm brown grains of the timber.

Polished with bees wax and with the addition of a replica edison bulb this lamp is a testament to New Zealand's agricultural history. Buy it as a special piece for your home, or gift it to someone who 'has it all'.

The history of the timber has been retained by leaving any surface marks, while exposing and polishing the beautiful grain.

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison bulb has a lamp life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are generally freely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

With black fittings, this lamp has a long lead and an in-line switch.

Delivery

We have a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington and Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
