Unique Wooden Table Lamp | Handcrafted | Wharf series #92
Add rustic beauty to your home with this unique Wooden Table Lamp.
Handcrafted with reclaimed wharf timber more than 100 years old, its genuine ironwork and replica edison light bulb will certainly make a statement.
The wood has been lovingly reclaimed and recyled following restoration work on the Petone and Eastbourne wharves in Wellington Harbour.
Its gorgeous grain and original bolt has been polished with natural beeswax and combined with an evocative replica edison light bulb.
Transform your space and enjoy a timeless classic with this one-of-a-kind addition!
The timber is Australian Jarrah, imported and used along with other Australian hardwoods in late nineteenth century New Zealand for commercial and industrial construction. This piece is likely to be well over 100 years old.
- The dimensions of the lamp base are: length 41 cm, width 20 cm, height (including bulb) 25 cm.
- Weight: 7.7 kg
The history of the timber has been retained by incorporating construction elements, bolt holes and surface marks while still exposing and polishing the beautiful end grain.
Attempts are made to retain any ironwork (bolts and nails) that are connected to the specific piece of timber.
Natural beeswax is used to polish the wood and any ironwork.
The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.
Each lamp is tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.
We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.
Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.
