This lamp has been carefully crafted in New Zealand from an old tōtara fence post.

The wood has a rich history and a story to tell, and you can see the signs of its age and use in the grain, with its cracks and marks, sanded and cleaned to showcase its natural beauty.

It is enhanced with a polish of natural bees wax, that is also applied to the original barb wire.

Tōtara is one of the biggest and oldest trees in the New Zealand forest and was used extensively by Māori and later by European setllers. Its straight grain and durability saw it used for carving, house piles, telegraph poles and fence posts.

The replica edison bulb emits a captivating glow, making it a perfect addition to your bedroom, office, or living room.

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison bulb has a lamp life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are generally freely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

With white fittings, this lamp has a long lead with an in-line switch.

We have a $7 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.
