Table Lamp | Vintage Wood Plane | #102
Embrace the fusion of function and form with this impressive wooden table lamp crafted from a vintage carpenter's plane.
It has been meticulously created from an original craftsman’s tool produced by English planemakers J Bruford and Isaac Green and boasts a rich heritage dating back to the late 19th century.
It is not known when the plane arrived in New Zealand but the original owner’s name E. Cornish is clearly visible stamped into the wood and the Isaac Green brand is stamped into the cutting blade – a testament to the maker’s commitment to quality.
This unique creation seamlessly blends the soul of industrial history with the contemporary allure of modern lighting.
Illuminate your space with a piece that tells a story. Each lamp comes with a written history, revealing fascinating details about its origin.
- The dimensions of the lamp base are: height with bulb, 20cm, width 9 cm, length 56 cm
- 3.2 kg
The plane has been cleaned, lightly sanded to remove years of grime, and hand finished with natural beeswax.
The replica vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.
Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.
We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.
Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.
