Table Lamp | Vintage Wood Plane | #100
Discover the perfect fusion of function and history with this one-of-a-kind table lamp.
Made from an upcycled carpenter's wood block plane from the German manufacturer, Henry Böker, this Edison lamp showcases a crossed arrow symbol on the cutting blade.
The traditional 'rhino horn' handle of this German-style plane adds to its unique charm.
Despite being a workshop relic, JB has meticulously restored the beech wood base and preserved its timeless story.
The warm glow of the bulb not only lights up your space, but also shines a light on the skilled craftsmanship of a bygone era.
Each lamp comes with a written history, revealing fascinating details about its origin and adding to its value as a conversation starter and testament to enduring design.
- The dimensions of the lamp base are: height with bulb, 20cm, width 7 cm, length 26 cm
- 1.3 kg
The plane has been cleaned, lightly sanded to remove years of grime, and hand finished with natural beeswax.
The replica vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.
Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.
We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.
Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.
