This stunning lamp is handcrafted from reclaimed wharf timber from the Wellington Harbour.

The wood is imported jarrah from Australia and has a beautiful grain, polished with natural beeswax. Feel the smooth texture under your fingertips, while admiring the marks and wave-like erosion lines.

An original nail has been retained and polished with beeswax.

A vintage Edison light bulb completes the look, providing both interest during the day and warm, ambient lighting at night.

This unique piece is a true testament to the rich history and craftsmanship of early 19th century industrial construction in New Zealand.

  • The dimensions of the lamp base are: length 20 cm, width 10 cm, height (including bulb) 30 cm.

The history of the timber has been retained by incorporating surviving construction elements and surface marks.

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.

We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

Delivery

We have a $7 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington and Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
