Architectural Inspiration: Handcrafted Jarrah Timber Lamp

For those who appreciate timeless design and a touch of history, our handcrafted Jarrah Timber Lamp is the perfect addition to your home.

Made from reclaimed timber sourced from the recently restored Eastbourne wharf in Wellington Harbour, this unique lamp boasts over 100 years of heritage.

The wood is Australian Jarrah, imported and used along with other Australian hardwoods in late nineteenth century New Zealand for commercial and industrial construction. 

JB has carefully cleaned and preserved the wood, leaving behind the natural markings, imperfections and original bolt that tell the story of its industrial past.

Each lamp features a warm Edison bulb and a smooth, polished top that reflects the light, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.

Ideal for anyone who enjoys handcrafted pieces with a rich history.

  • The dimensions of the lamp base are: height (including bulb) 35 cm, width 10 cm, length 20 cm, 
  • Weight: 3.4 kg

Natural beeswax is used to polish the wood and any ironwork.

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.

We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

Delivery

We have a $7 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington and Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
