Large Drum Lampshade

Does it impress you that after 5 years of lampshade making, I'm still pushing my boundaries and trying out new techniques? 

Ha! With this lampshade I tried a new way of joining 2 pieces of fabric together. Sadly it didn't work out as well as I hoped! And at the 2nd seam there is a tiny vertical gap at which you can just see the inner white plastic where the join isn't perfect. 

The upside is that from the front this is not noticeable. 

If used as a ceiling pendant the gap at the 2nd seam will be more noticeable than if used as an impressive table lampshade.

More Details

A beautiful classic William Morris design with a strong pattern of entwined foliage, circular shapes and pimpernel plants with small flowers.

This captivating pattern, originally created for wallpaper in 1876, showcases Morris's exceptional talent in capturing the grace of nature.

The frame fits either a bayonet B22 bulb holder OR a screw fit E27 bulb holder. There is more information about the difference on this page where you can see that the use of a small adaptor means the frames are suitable for most standard lamp bases and fittings.

  • Each lampshade has a fire retardant inner made from white styrene.

      Delivery

      My products are carefully packed for delivery, using a majority of recycled packaging.

      There is a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area. I also offer a click and collect option from Plimmerton, Wellington and Greytown.

      For other regions the delivery charge is calculated at check-out.
