A gorgeous version of the timeless Strawberry Thief design from William Morris. Delicate and intricate flowers, petals and leaves in attractive sage green, pinks and gold, with speckled thrushes perching daintily on the foliage — all on a background that reads as a deep, rich navy (described as black, but to my eyes it is a dark navy).
This is a bold, dramatic colourway that works beautifully in living rooms, studies, and bedrooms, pairing naturally with dark timber, velvet, and rich jewel tones.
Made from high-quality quilting cotton and handcrafted in Wellington, New Zealand, each shade is made to order with care and attention to detail.

⚠️ Please note: This pattern is best suited to the larger straight-sided and drum-style shades — the birds will appear slightly distorted on tapered frames. Also, due to the standard fabric width and horizontal design, lampshades with a diameter larger than 35 cm will require 2 seams. This creates an extra thin shadow when the lamp is lit.

Choose from 12 straight-sided styles (including barrel and drum options) and 9 tapered styles. Refer to the size charts in the photos to determine the perfect dimensions. All sizes are numbered for easy selection — for example, 'Tapered 15'. Use the drop down menus to make your choice.
To order a lampshade in this fabric:
In the 1st drop down menu select the style and shape of lampshade — all dimensions are illustrated in the photos.
Ceiling lights are best chosen from the straight sided options and most of the tapered shades are only suitable for table or floor stands and are not available for ceiling pendants.
In the 2nd drop down menu select whether your lampshade is for a table lamp / floor stand, or to be hung from the ceiling. A guide can be found in the photos.
In the 3rd drop down menu select the ring size of the shade frame.
The options are either bayonet bulb fitting or screw bulb fitting. (See photo). The shade frame is manufactured to fit screw fit bulbs (E27 & E14), or a converter adaptor is added to fit bayonet bulbs (B22).
If in doubt, select bayonet bulb fitting as this will come with a flexible adaptor which can be flipped out to make the bulb holder larger if needed. More information.

Delivery
My products are carefully packed for delivery, using a majority of recycled packaging.
There is a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area. I also offer a click and collect option from Plimmerton, Wellington or Greytown, Wairarapa.
For other regions the delivery charge is calculated at check-out.
