Lined Tōtara Fence Post Lamp #190
Every line, every hole — a chapter of New Zealand history.
This upcycled lamp has been handcrafted from a characterful reclaimed tōtara fence post. What makes this piece special is its wide, deeply lined front face — bold vertical grain channels that speak to decades of weathering on the land — punctuated by a scattering of original staple holes, each one a small record of the fences, gates, and farm life this post once held together.
It is a lamp with presence and commands attention on a sideboard or desk, while the warm amber glow of the vintage decorative globe above softens its rugged character into something quietly beautiful.
No two tōtara posts are alike, and this one is entirely its own — its surface untouched beyond careful hand-finishing to bring out the richness of the grain.
A lamp that carries the marks of a working life, and wears them proudly.
