Limited Edition | Round Eroded Heritage Lamp
A piece of history, illuminated.
This extraordinary lamp is a true one-of-a-kind — handcrafted by JB at Shades at Grays from a jarrah telegraph pole, with unusual and rare erosion through its centre. Once part of New Zealand's communication infrastructure, this ancient timber has been given a remarkable second life as a sculptural statement lamp.
The natural erosion of the jarrah has created a breathtaking organic cavity at the heart of the cross-section, perfectly framing a warm Edison filament bulb. The deep, cracked rings of the aged wood radiate outward like a geological map of time, while the glowing amber light within creates a dramatic contrast that is as much art as it is lighting.
Mounted on a sleek black wood base, this lamp sits beautifully on a sideboard, desk, or feature shelf — anywhere you want to anchor a room with something truly extraordinary.
Each piece is completely unique and this is a limited edition because of the hard to find eroded timber. In addition, no two telegraph poles erode the same way, and no two lamps will ever be identical.
