A celebration of New Zealand’s most beloved birds — fantails, tui, weka, pukeko and more — going about their business on a rich, dark peppermint-green background. This is pure Kiwiana joy, beautifully printed on a soft 100% cotton fabric that’s lovely to the touch.

A note on fabric width and size: This print runs horizontally across a 1.12m wide fabric. For best results, it suits small to medium straight-sided shades with a diameter of 35cm or less. For larger shades, I will need to join together two pieces of fabric which produces a 2nd seam. This is done as invisibly as possible but inevitably shows as a thin shadow when the bulb is on.
Also, because the birds sit vertically, when this fabric is used on a tapered style lampshade the birds begin to 'tilt' as the fabric is wrapped around the sides and towards the back. This is less noticeable on medium and small tapered shades.

Refer to the size charts in the photos to determine the perfect dimensions for your lampshade. All sizes are numbered for easy selection; for instance, ‘Straight sided 15’. Use the drop down menus to make your choice.

To order a lamp shade in this fabric:
In the 1st drop down menu select the style and shape of lampshade — all dimensions are illustrated in the photos.
Ceiling lights are best chosen from the straight sided options and most of the tapered shades are only suitable for table or floor stands and are not available for ceiling pendants.
In the 2nd drop down menu select whether your lampshade is for a table lamp / floor stand, or to be hung from the ceiling. A guide can be found in the photos.
In the 3rd drop down menu select the ring size of the shade frame.
The options are either bayonet bulb fitting or screw bulb fitting. (See photo). Have a look at your lamp base or ceiling fitting and check if it takes a bayonet or screw fit bulb. This will guide your decision.
If in doubt, select bayonet bulb fitting as this will come with a standard flexible adaptor which can be flipped out to make the bulb holder larger which will then fit a screw bulb. More information.

Delivery
My products are carefully packed for delivery, using a majority of recycled packaging.
There is a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area. I also offer a click and collect option from Plimmerton, Wellington or Greytown, Wairarapa.
For other regions the delivery charge is calculated at check-out.
