This handcrafted table lamp boasts a rich history and unique story that sets it apart from regular wood lamp bases.

A light source, yes - but it also serves as a captivating conversation piece. The stunning, chocolatey hue features intricate patterns from the constant crashing waves on the Eastbourne Wharf in Wellington Harbour, where the timber served for decades.

Each upcycled lamp comes with a written history, adding a touch of the past to any room.

JB meticulously cleans and polishes the wood with natural beeswax, highlighting its inherent beauty. Paired with a vintage-style Edison bulb, this lamp emits a warm, ambient light that adds character to any space. 

Imported more than 100 years ago this jarrah lamp represents a  piece of Wellington's heritage, and an opportunity for you to own a truly special lamp.

The dimensions of the lamp are: 

  • height (including bulb) 22 cm; width 20 cm, length 37 cm. 
  • Weight: 4.5 kg

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.

We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

Delivery

We have a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington and Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
