Bring a touch of  historical character to your home with one of our wooden table lamps crafted from reclaimed carpenter’s wood planes.

Merging traditional craftsmanship with artistic design, each lamp features an Edison bulb that emits a warm, inviting glow.

This particular model is fashioned from a vintage carpenter’s plane produced by John Moseley and Son, renowned London plane makers of the 19th century.

It is an example of a 'coffin' plane, so named because of its shape.

  • The dimensions of the lamp base are: length 20 cm, width 8 cm, height with bulb, 20cm.
  • 1 kg

Each plane comes with a written history.

The plane has been cleaned, lightly sanded to remove years of grime, and hand finished with natural beeswax.

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.

We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.
