A little golden warmth for your favourite corner

With its slender stem, decorative detailing and stepped hexagonal foot, this antique gold table lamp base brings a classic touch without taking up much tabletop space. Picture it on a bedside table, beside your favourite chair or on a console, finished with a handmade shade that feels at home with your colours and treasures.

The warm gold-toned finish pairs beautifully with earthy florals, rich blues and greens, or a soft neutral shade for a quieter look. This is a new lamp base with an antique-style finish, not an antique.

$120 NZD for the lamp base only. Bulb and lampshade are not included. The shaded photograph shows a styling example.

Choosing your Shades at Grays lampshade

For a tried-on pairing, the photograph shows our handmade medium tapered Cornflowers on Brown shade, measuring 28 cm across the bottom, 24 cm across the top and 20 cm high. Its gentle taper balances the slim stem, while the warm brown floral fabric complements the gold finish. This is my starting recommendation for a classic, neatly proportioned table lamp.

For a cleaner, more contemporary silhouette, consider one of our straight-sided 28 or 30 cm shades. These are alternative styling suggestions rather than the shade shown in the photograph. A small-scale floral adds vintage charm; a botanical print brings colour and character; a neutral fabric keeps the look understated.

Choose the table lamp/floor stand option and a screw bulb fitting when ordering your shade for this E27 base. Lampshades are sold separately. If you would like help choosing fabric or proportions, email shadesatgrays@gmail.com or call/text 027 541 4696.
