Illuminate History with a Unique Table Lamp
Own a piece of French industrial heritage with this unique table lamp, crafted from a genuine antique carpenter's wood plane.
This isn't just a lamp; it's a conversation starter, a tangible connection to craftsmanship from a bygone era.
A Legacy of Craftsmanship:
- Authentic Peugeot Frères: The plane's cutting blade proudly displays the iconic Peugeot Frères lion-on-arrow trademark, used between 1842 and 1865, placing this tool's creation within that 23-year window.
- Peugeot's storied history began in 1810, evolving from a family venture to a renowned toolmaker by 1832. This lamp carries the legacy of Jean Pierre and Jean Frederic Peugeot's vision.
- Witness the ingenious winding mechanism, a testament to the ingenuity of 19th-century tool design, and the protective wooden hand block, a silent witness to countless hours of skilled labor.
A Story Etched in Time:
- This plane, with its intriguing history, has been lovingly restored. It's been cleaned, lightly sanded, and hand-finished with natural beeswax, preserving its authentic patina.
- We've retained the marks and blemishes of time, allowing the tool's rich history and the stories of its past users to shine through.
- It's journey to New Zealand is a mystery, adding to the intrigue.
- Features a felted base to protect your furniture.

This Edison table lamp is more than just a source of light; it's a statement piece. It brings a touch of rustic charm and industrial elegance to any space. Let its warm glow illuminate your home and spark conversations about history, craftsmanship, and the enduring beauty of vintage tools.
