Vintage Wood Table Lamp | Wharf series #133
Maritime Heritage, Modern Design
Our handcrafted wharf timber lamp is a beautiful and unique piece that brings a touch of New Zealand's maritime history into your home. Made from reclaimed Jarrah wood, salvaged from Wellington's Eastbourne wharf, this lamp is a sustainable and stylish addition to any space.
The wood itself is over 100 years old, imported from Australia in the 19th century. Each lamp is carefully handcrafted, preserving the wood's natural beauty and character.
Paired with a replica Edison bulb, this lamp provides warm ambient light and a unique conversation piece for any home.
Imagine the stories this wood could tell, having witnessed the bustling activity of Wellington's harbour for over a century. Our wharf timber lamp is a tangible connection to the past, a piece of history that you can bring into your own home.
It's not just a lamp; it's a piece of New Zealand's heritage, preserved and presented in an unique, stylish design.
- The dimensions of the lamp base are: height (including bulb) 31 cm; width 5 cm, length 13 cm.
- Weight: 2 kg
The history of the timber has been retained by keeping the eroded grooves and any original markings.
Each lamp comes with its own written history.
The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.
Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.
We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.
Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.
