Reclaimed Wood Lamp | Handcrafted | Wharf series #126
Handcrafted History: Upcycled Jarrah Timber Table Lamp
This one-of-a-kind Wood Table Lamp is more than just a light source; it's a conversation starter.
Crafted from off-cuts salvaged from the historic Eastbourne wharf in Wellington harbour, the wood boasts over a century of character.
The wood is Australian Jarrah, imported and used along with other Australian hardwoods in late nineteenth century New Zealand for commercial and industrial construction.
JB has meticulously cleaned and preserved the timber, highlighting the natural wear, nail holes, and even traces of tar that speak of its industrial journey.
Each lamp includes a replica Edison bulb, and the smooth, beeswax-polished top beautifully reflects the light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Ideal for those who appreciate unique design and sustainable practices.
- The dimensions of the lamp base are: height (including bulb) 35 cm, width 10 cm, length 20 cm,
- Weight: 3.2 kg
Natural beeswax is used to polish the wood and any ironwork.
The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.
Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.
We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.
Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.
