Reclaimed Wood Lamp | Handcrafted | Wharf series #125
The Gift of Time: Reclaimed Jarrah Timber Lamp
Struggling to find the perfect gift for the person who has everything? Look no further than this unique wood lamp.
This handcrafted piece is a thoughtful and unique present that tells a story. Made from over 100-year-old timber salvaged from the restoration of Eastbourne wharf in Wellington harbour, the lamp boasts a rich history that is evident in its natural markings and imperfections.
The wood is Australian Jarrah, imported and used along with other Australian hardwoods in late nineteenth century New Zealand for commercial and industrial construction.
JB has carefully cleaned and polished the wood, preserving its character while adding a touch of modern elegance.
Each lamp comes with a warm Edison bulb and creates a warm and inviting ambiance.
Perfect for architects, engineers, or anyone who appreciates timeless design and New Zealand-made quality.
- The dimensions of the lamp base are: height (including bulb) 35 cm, width 10 cm, length 20 cm,
- Weight: 3.3 kg
Natural beeswax is used to polish the wood and any ironwork.
The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.
Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.
We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.
Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.
