This handcrafted table lamp is unlike anything you'll find in a retail store, with a history and story to tell. It's not just a light source, it's a conversation starter too.

The rich chocolatey colour of the beautiful natural grain has patterns etched into it from large and continuous wave action crashing on the wharf where the timber did decades of service.

Each upcycled wharf lamp, sourced from Eastbourne Wharf in Wellington Harbour is unique and comes with a written history.

A Touch of the Past, a Warm Glow for Today

JB has meticulously cleaned and polished the wood with natural beeswax, allowing the wood's inherent beauty to shine. Paired with a vintage-style Edison bulb, this lamp casts a warm, ambient light that fills any room with character.

More than Illumination, It's a Legacy

Imported more than 100 years ago this jarrah lamp represents a  piece of Wellington's heritage, and an opportunity for you to own a truly special lamp.

The dimensions of the lamp are: 

  • height (including bulb) 25 cm; width 20 cm, length 30 cm. 
  • Weight: 4.5 kg

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.

We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

Delivery

We have a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington and Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
