This unique Edison table lamp is crafted from an authentic 22-inch jointer plane by Edward Preston & Son, a renowned Birmingham toolmaker from the early 19th century. Known for their quality planes and carpentry tools, Preston & Son crafted this impressive jointer plane between 1825 and 1900.

  • Genuine Preston Plane: Features the original Preston brand markings on the blade and toe, guaranteeing its authenticity.
  • Historic Jointer Plane: This "try plane" was used for straightening board edges, a testament to traditional woodworking.

Available with either a round globe bulb or teardrop bulb. Please use the 'notes' area on the checkout page to let us know your preference. 

The replica vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.

We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

Delivery

We have a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington or Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
