A Touch of Rural Heritage

This unique wood table lamp is crafted from a reclaimed tōtara post, originally from a New Zealand farm where it served for many decades. 

Each piece carries the story of its past life – weathered by the elements and adorned with the original fencing wire, a testament to years of service.

Carefully cleaned, sanded, and polished with natural beeswax, these lamps reveal the beauty of this iconic New Zealand timber.

The presence of the original fencing wire adds a rustic charm and a touch of the unexpected, reminding us of the hard work and resilience of our rural past.

These lamps are a truly unique and a meaningful addition to any home.

The history of the timber has been retained by leaving any surface marks, while exposing and polishing the beautiful grain.

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison bulb has a lamp life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are generally freely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

With black fittings, this lamp has a long lead with an in-line switch.

Delivery

We have a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington and Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
