This reclaimed wharf timber lamp reflects a time when materials were chosen to last generations. Made from jarrah timber imported in the late 19th century and used in New Zealand wharf construction, each piece carries visible evidence of its working past.

Handcrafted to preserve the timber’s strength and character, this lamp offers a warm, sculptural presence that connects contemporary interiors with genuine history. Designed to be lived with and appreciated for years to come.

  • The dimensions of the lamp base are: height (including bulb) 25 cm; width 19 cm, length 24 cm.
  • Weight: 3 kg

Each lamp comes with its own written history. The wood has been sourced from the Eastbourne wharf in Wellington Harbour as it underwent restoration.

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.

We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your unique wooden table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

Delivery

We have a $9.50 flat fee for delivery in the Wellington area, and a (free) click and collect service from Plimmerton, Wellington and Greytown, Wairarapa.

Delivery charges outside of Wellington will be calculated at check-out.

Deliveries to Australia may be subject to custom regulations regarding the importation of timber and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
