Once a line of connection — now a heritage light

This lamp began life as a jarrah telegraph post, standing tall through decades of wind, rain, and communication across New Zealand. JB has carefully preserved the timber’s original grain and markings — subtle reminders of its history of connection.

Lovingly sanded, and polished with natural beeswax, The Linekeeper pairs rugged endurance with warm modern light. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, fitted with NZ-certified wiring and a replica edison bulb to complement its natural beauty.

A timeless lamp with heritage and heart — ready to write its next chapter in your home.

Dimensions:

  • Height, with bulb 34 cm; width 15 cm; length 15 cm.
  • Weight: 6 kg

The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison bulb has a lamp life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.

Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.

Your Edison lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.

With black fittings, this lamp has a long lead with an in-line switch.

Other lamps in JB's collection include reclaimed tōtara posts with the original fittings, like this one: tōtara post.
