Vintage Table Lamp | Handcrafted | Wharf series #114
Bring a piece of New Zealand history and sustainable style into your home.
This beautiful, handrafted table lamp is crafted from reclaimed wharf timber, salvaged during restoration work on Wellington's Eastbourne wharf.
The wood itself is likely over 100 years old and is Australian Jarrah used widely in New Zealand in the 19th-century for many types of construction.
Polished with natural beeswax the smooth grain of the wood begs to be touched! And the original nail provides an edgy contrasting feature.
It is paired with a replica Edison bulb and provides warm ambient light and a touch of history to any room
- The dimensions of the lamp base are: height (including bulb) 25 cm; width 19 cm, length 23 cm.
- Weight: 4.4 kg
The history of the timber has been retained by keeping the eroded grooves and original iron nail.
Eah lamp comes with its own written history.
The vintage E27 40W screw fit Edison light bulb, which comes with your lamp, has a life of about 1500 hours and can be easily changed for any number of similar bulbs that are widely available in New Zealand.
Each lamp is independently tagged and tested. It has a long lead and an in-line switch.
We recommend a maximum 40W bulb.
Your unique Edison table lamp has a felt pad on the base to protect any surface you choose to put it on.
